Symptoms of PENILE TRAUMA


Penile fracture leads to loss of erection. The penis appears bruised and swollen. Deformity of the penis may occur. Due to swelling, it may not be possible to urinate. Penetrating trauma can lead to injury to the skin, the urethra and the specially developed organs that maintain erection. Avulsion injuries can deglove the shaft of the penis. There is significant bleeding and pain. Urethral injuries can block urination. blood in the urine occurs. There may be external trauma, either blunt or penetrating. If the urethra is disrupted, urine may leak through the damaged penis.
