Symptoms of ATELECTASIS
Symptoms of sudden major collapse of a portion of the airways include chest pain, shortness of breath, dizziness and rapid breathing. Shock may develop in severe cases with pallor, rapid heart rate and extreme weakness.
Symptoms of gradual collapse include cough, fever, shortness of breath. If the portion of the airway affected is small enough and the progression slow enough, there may not be any symptoms.
