Symptoms of CANDIDIASIS OF SKIN

Involvement of the skin with Candidiasis produces abnormal patches of skin, or plaques. They appear as bright red patches with poorly defined borders. commonly, they can range from 6 to 12 cm in size, sometimes larger. Crusts may form on these plaques and they ooze or weep. Frequently, they produce severe itching. Smaller plaques, less than 1 mm in size, may sometimes surround larger plaques. Occasionally, small pustules develop.
