Symptoms of OTITIS EXTERNA
Otitis externa produces pain in the ear, which can be very severe. Movement of the earlobe, such as tugging on it, causes marked increase in the pain. Frequently there is itching in the ear and drainage from the ear may occur. Due to swelling of the ear canal, there may be impaired hearing in the infected ear. A painful lump or boil may develop within the ear canal. The infections can be spread through contact to the opposite ear.
