Symptoms include: height, weight and head circumference do not progress normally, as measured on doctors’ growth varcharts. Physical skills are often slow to develop, such as: turning over in bed, sitting, standing, walking. Mental and social skills are often delayed, such as: talking, social interaction, self-feeding, and toilet training. Normal growth and development vary widely, it is the rate of change measured at regular medical checkups which is more significant.
