Symptoms of FIBROID TUMORS OF THE UTERUS
Frequently, fibroids do not produce any symptoms. When symptoms do occur, they include frequent menstruation with heavy bleeding and large clots. There is often abnormally painful menstrual periods. There may be bleeding in between menstrual periods. Fibroids may produce sensations of pressure on the urinary bladder or rectum. Due to heavy bleeding, anemia may develop with generalized weakness, pallor, rapid hear rate and fatigue. Painful sexual intercourse and bleeding after sexual intercourse are common. Occasionally, an abnormal vaginal discharge may occur.
