Symptoms of LYMPHOGRANULOMA VENEREUM


Symptoms of Lymphogranuloma venereum usually develop somewhere between 1 and 4 weeks after exposure. The include a painless blister of the genitals. The blister eventually forms an ulcer, then heals. Tender lumps in the groin, which represent infected lymph nodes, form red, tender masses. Multiple areas of deep infection occur that eventually causes fistulas that discharge thick pus and blood-stained material. Other symptoms seen with lymphogranuloma venereum include Fever, muscle aches and muscle pain. Headaches, back aches and joint pain may occur. Vomiting is seen and is associated with appetite loss.
