Symptoms of MENINGIOMA

The signs and symptoms depend on which part of the brain or spinal cord the tumor arises. When they grow on the surface of the brain, seizures may also occur. Involvement of the skull base can lead to dysfunction of multiple cranial nerves leading to the eye, face, ear and throat. Tumors within the spinal canal produce pain, weakness and numbness. Progressive paralysis can occur below the level of the tumor.
