Symptoms of CREST SYNDROME


Skin changes occur in the hands and feet with skin color changes. These are often brought on in response to exposure to the cold. Thickening of the skin occurs in the fingers, and there may be ulcers or hemorrhages in the fingertips. There is difficulty swallowing sometimes associated with painful swallowing. Areas of calcification may occur in the skin. Patches of small, abnormal blood vessels may develop, particularly around the face and hands.
