Symptoms of CANDIDIASIS

The symptoms which develop depend on the part of the body which is affected. Oral infections produce creamy colored white discharge on the tongue and mouth. Vaginal infections produce thick, white discharge. Pain, inching, and redness occur in and around the vagina. Painful urination and painful sexual intercourse occur. Inflammation of the head of the penis may occur as balanitis. Skin infections produce itchy, red rash with flaky white patches. Widespread infection may be associated with fevers and chills. It can occur when indwelling catheters or intravenous lines are in place. Also, conditions which damage or destroy the immune system may allow this systemic infection.
