Symptoms of CHRONIC CUTANEOUS LUPUS
In the majority of people afflicted with chronic cutaneous lupus, the lesions form discrete red plaques. Their may be scales. The center of the lesion gradually heals. Initially the lesion appears to have increased pigmentation. However, by the time it has healed, the central portion has decreased pigmentation compared to the adjacent skin. The most common places that these lesions are found are the cheeks, forehead, nose and ears. Hair loss may occur and may be irreversible.
