Symptoms of ERYSIPELAS

The symptoms of erysipelas include a hot, red, swollen area of the skin. It is usually shiny and well demarcated from the adjacent normal skin. High fevers and chills may occur. There may be swelling and tenderness in the lymph nodes adjacent to the infection. These occur either in the groin, the armpit, or the neck.
